Cherry Valley opens the largest Duck Breeder Hatchery in the World

Cherry Valley has opened the largest duck breeder hatchery in the world on 9th May 2025. We laid the foundation at Shandong Cherry Valley in May 2024, and it took us almost one year to complete the project. The first eggs were set at the beginning of May 2025. All our China parent stock hatching operations, currently at two major locations, will be gradually transferred and consolidated into this unit.

The unit has 69 setters (each with a setting capacity of 34,560 eggs) and matching hatchers. It has incorporated the latest hatchery technology, featuring a fully controlled environment and a high level of automation.  

The unit will become fully operational within the next few months, and we anticipate a significant improvement in the quality of breeder day-old chicks we deliver. Cherry Valley has also become the largest parent stock supplier in China, in addition to the grandparent stock we supplied to the joint venture operations. Together with our joint venture operations, Cherry Valley will annually produce and market some 150,000 units of parent stock in China.
