We strive to provide our ducks with the very highest in welfare standards ensuring they have happy and comfortable lives.
Our birds are all Pekin ducks, also known as Beijing ducks, a strain as the name suggests originating from China.
Pekin Ducks
As the name implies, Pekin ducks originated in Northern China (Beijing used to be called Peking) and were domesticated from local Mallard stocks. Records show that this type of duck has been domesticated in China for at least 2000 years so it is no surprise that it holds such a special place in Chinese cuisine!
